7 alphanumeric characters under locality name. The postcode is structured into three parts, one part identifies the locality (alpha code), the second part defines the street within the locality (street code first 3 digits) and the third part indicates a group of delivery points or address (unit codes last digit). One space between letters and digits. eg:
